Samiha Abdel Aziz Ghoneim was born in 1920 in the Dakahlia Governorate, the eldest daughter of Mr. Abdel Aziz Ghoneim, an accountant in a contracting company, between six brothers, three girls and three boys.

The father was so advanced for much of society at the time that his children entered monks and nuns schools while most girls of this generation were staying at home or barely completing primary education.
I got my first job in a school in Zagazig, then I moved to Al-Sanieh Secondary School for Girls in El-Sayeda Zeinab as a first teacher of the French language under the direction of one of the pioneers of education in Egypt, Mrs. Karima El-Saeed.
After the tripartite aggression, she moved to Lycée El Horreya in Maadi as the first Egyptian principal of the school in January 1957. Spreading French culture.
She left the world of education in 1985 after a career of more than thirty years in management.
Samiha Ghoneim, daughter of the Dakahlia Governorate, remains one of the pioneers of basic education in Cairo and Maadi.
