PASCH stands for the "Schools: Partners for the Future" initiative. It is a global network of some 1,500 schools that place a high value on German. PASCH is an initiative of the Federal Foreign Office in cooperation with the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA), the Goethe-Institut (GI), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Educational Exchange Service of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany (PAD).

Like all 143 French Institutes and French Cultural Centers around the world, the French Institute in Egypt (IFE) is an establishment, reporting to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responsible for promoting cultural, intellectual and audiovisual cooperation between professionals, to promote contemporary French and French-speaking creation for all audiences, to present French higher education to foreign students and teachers and to offer a full range of French language education. Established in stages since January 1, 1996, the French Institute of Egypt (IFE) in Cairo was born from the merger of the Research and Cooperation Mission (MRC) and the French Cultural Center (locations in Mounira and Héliopolis ). The transformation of the French Center of Alexandria into a regional branch of the CCC and the merger of the Cultural Service of the Embassy of France with the CFCC, which became IFE on January 24, 2011, made it possible to set up a unique cultural mission. It is the natural operator of France's cultural action abroad. Under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is responsible, within the framework of the policy and guidelines set by the state, to carry a renewed ambition for diplomacy of influence. It must contribute to the influence of France abroad in a strengthened dialogue with foreign cultures and respond to the "request of France" in a process of listening, partnership and openness. The French Institute of Egypt in Mounira, with its annexes in Héliopolis and Alexandria, the French-speaking university courses, the French University in Egypt, the French high school in Cairo and all the services of the French Embassy in Egypt constitute a solid, well-established network which attests to the mutual interest of our two countries.
