Title:Superintendent of Capital International Schools
A word from Soheir:
Welcome to the start of the academic school year, 2021/2022! On behalf of the Board of Directors and all staff members, I would like to express my pleasure that you are a part of our Capital International Schools (CIS) community. The start of a new school year is an exciting time to sail into new experiences and knowledge, not only for our students, but for CIS families and staff as well.
Capital International Schools is committed to prepare well-rounded students, who will be equipped with the essential 21st century skills and knowledge to flourish and excel in their future journey. The school promotes a climate of trust and respect amongst all stakeholders. All human, financial and technical resources are geared to foster an environment that is conducive to a productive learning experience. Our vision remains the same, “Empowering all students to become successful future leaders.”
As a Superintendent and a Professor of Mental Health, it is my role to help all CIS stakeholders develop sufficient knowledge needed for continuous improvement plan in order to reach our best. Ownership is the basis of collaboration; all stakeholders need to believe that they have a unique role in the school success. For CIS, “our stakeholders are the students, teachers, administrators, parents and community members”. Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established by CIS, by building strong relationships with parents, students and community partners. We will focus on character education initiatives, the use of data to drive instruction, and to provide consistent implementation of the curriculum in a rigorous manner so that we can continue to increase all of the students’ achievement.
I am extremely proud of our teachers, staff, and students. Capital International Schools’ staff have always gone beyond expectations, as we expect the highest standards. The effort that our schools demonstrated over the past years has been tremendous. However, the road is still quite long, as we continue to prepare internationally-minded students for the future.
Out of my strong belief in the importance of the role of parents as an essential partner with us, I wish all parents continued cooperation with us; following-up on your children’s academic performance and provide psychological support, monitoring their commitment to learning through our ‘Engage’ Learning Management System as well as maintaining consistent communication with school management. I also hope to keep a healthy and peaceful environment at home in order to maintain the mental health of students which will inevitably lead to their success.
Wishing you a fruitful year ahead!
