The German Evangelical High School in Cairo is a well-established German-Egyptian cultural convergence school, and a recognized German school abroad sponsored by the German-speaking Evangelical Church in Cairo, dating back 149 years, one of the oldest, best and largest German schools abroad in the world. The school adheres to the liberal democratic statute, and in its Protestant tradition it seeks to be a meeting place between cultures and religions, where each one's belief is respected.

The German school is famous for its high level of education, which it was able to reach with efficient teaching and students who are passionate about doing well. The German Evangelical Secondary School in Cairo has a spacious campus in the Dokki neighborhood, not far from the Nile. In October 2019, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas inaugurated the new building for the upper stage, and with state-of-the-art equipment, lessons are held digitally.
