It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself, Linda Haliti, as the Stage Principal of Global Paradigm Middle School. All the staff and myself, are proud to provide an excellent middle school experience for our students.  The middle school provides a program and an environment designed to help students progress intellectually, socially, physically, and emotionally in ways which, enhance the individual’s self-image, offer opportunities for success, foster “active” learning, promote exploration , and encourage students to assume responsibility for their own behavior, as well as become responsible members of society. We provide many different learning opportunities for our kids. Not only do they have a rich academic curriculum, but they also explore their talents and abilities in music, technology, and Art. In addition, we offer many varied after school activities to help our students further develop their personal interests and talents.  This year we will to work on building on our Project Based Learning (PBL) program – a strong student-centered approach that encourages inquiry, depth of thinking, and dealing with real life experiences and challenges – ensuring the further integration of subjects in a dynamic and collaborative manner. Emphasis will be on the learning environment being more engaging, creating relevant experiences and increasing rigor through high level thinking. At GPIS, a team of dedicated and committed educators takes pride in providing the best possible education to prepare our students for adulthood and to become mature global citizens. It is our collective responsibility to prepare our students well because it is on them that our future will depend. Academics are the essence of our educational institution, however we also strongly encourage students to take part in extra-curricular activities throughout the year. Students show cast their abilities in the science fair, MUN, concerts, sports tournaments, and other events organized by the educational community. The guidance services at GPIS include a psychologist in order to help students deal with the pressures of succeeding in the forever more demanding workplace. The guiding counseling services guide our high school students towards a college choice that matches their abilities and aspirations. A strong part of the students’ development is reached through student-led campaigns. Students organized several campaigns: anti-bullying, peace, international women’s day, recycling waste, non-violence, to name just a few of the campaigns that take place annually. The school aims to develop internationally minded people who will help to create a better and more peaceful world. The IB program at the school strives to help our individuals become responsible members of the local, national and global communities. The 10 IB learner attributes valued by IB World Schools, to be Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk-takers, Balanced and Reflective are the aims of our IB program.
