Our early years program, for ages 2-6, values play and relationships as a driving force for inquiry learning. Children’s wonder and curiosity are key to their social and cognitive development and this curiosity motivates each child to explore his or her own questions and theories in a safe and enriching learning environment, both indoors and out. Children are supported in their expression and use all their senses to make meaning through many symbolic processes, including movement, painting, transformation, mathematics, drawing, mark-making, socio-dramatics, building, sculpture and sound/singing/rhythm. These areas of expression help to build a strong cognitive, social, and communicative foundation for future learning in the elementary years and beyond!

The Elementary School is characterized by its supportive, caring family ethos with high expectations for both academic achievement and behavior.  Each classroom is a community of learners. Through inquiry based learning engagements students explore their world, think critically and creatively, and with a growth mindset, challenge themselves with an excitement for learning.  Students are empowered to reach their fullest potential in a culture which meaningfully incorporates the Learner Profile of respect, responsibility, resilience, compassion and integrity in all that we do.

Our Middle School faculty is dedicated to fostering students’ curiosity, skill development and desire to learn. Lessons are designed to promote students thinking critically and creatively as well as to support the development of strong character and life skills. Students are empowered to reach their fullest potential in a culture which meaningfully incorporates the Learner Profile of respect, responsibility, resilience, compassion and integrity in all that we do. Students are empowered to take responsibility for their lives while also recognizing how they can make a positive difference in their community and internationally. The Middle School has leadership development activities such as Model United Nations and Week Without Walls, which are highly successful in promoting global citizenship.

The High School curriculum is rigorous and relevant grounded in the liberal arts and sciences and provides our students classes in Language Arts, History and Social Studies, Mathematics, Physical and Life Sciences, Computer Science, World Languages, Fine and Performing Arts, and Physical Education. In addition, the school offers a varied and rigorous Advanced Placement (AP) program to students willing and able to apply themselves to college-level studies and to provide the means for colleges to grant credit or placement to all who have successfully completed the AP courses and earned the minimum required scores on the AP exams. The curriculum is supplemented by a rich variety of extracurricular activities and clubs, organizations, and sports.
